The art of Britta Keber is conceptually established in her drawings and is then expanded in her paintings with color on a large scale. In an open design process, powerful energies are unleashed both here and there, transforming an emotional impulse into a creative unfolding. In this way, she stands in the tradition of "Abstract Expressionism," where the canvas becomes an arena for subjective expression, negotiating this as an individual concept of freedom. On the other hand, her works never completely eliminate a tangible form. This brings her, in terms of Austrian art, close to Kurt Kocherscheidt. Keber also does not make a definitive choice between abstract afterimages and perceived objectivity in her painting; instead, she operates "in between." The formless finds new forms through the declassification of form, transitioning from the similar to the dissimilar.
