International Brass Music Festival "The Bohemian Dream" 2026

In 2026, the Trachtenkapelle Brand will once again invite you to a special brass music event – from May 22 to 24, 2026 (Pentecost weekend), the "Bohemian Dream" will take the stage in the Glass Art Village of Brand-Nagelberg.

At this international brass music festival, spectators become participants – everyone who brings an instrument is invited to actively take part in the grand concerts. This gives the festival a unique and distinctive character.

Under the patronage of brass music legend Ladislav Kubeš Jr., 8 brass music formations will clearly demonstrate that brass music has long since shed its reputation for being old-fashioned.

A 3-day festival tent operation will be set up in the "largest living room of the Waldviertel."

Highlights of the event include a club and company evening on Friday, a festive ceremony with a grand concert on Saturday, and a children's and youth grand concert on Sunday. Several hundred musicians from various Central European nations are expected.

The music tradition of "South Bohemian Brass Music in Brand-Nagelberg" was added to the Austrian register of intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2021.

So, for Pentecost 2026, it's time to head to Brand, because if you’re not dreaming yet, you’ve almost missed the "Bohemian Dream"!
