Pure nature experience hike! Along nature trails, rock formations, and viewpoints – from Sigmaringen to Unterschmeien.

The beautiful half-day tour with many viewpoints begins at the boat house in Sigmaringen and follows this route: Boat House Sigmaringen - City Forest - Unterschmeien - Gypsy Cave - Kirchtal - Erratic Block - Laizer Höhenweg - Borren - Laiz - Boat House. An unknown, long forest path leads from the residential area Hohe Tannen to the Weintal and subsequently down to Unterschmeien. Along the Schmeie, past beautiful rock formations, the resting place with a cave overhang is reached. It is impressively situated with a picnic area and barbecue spot at the edge of the forest. After a small refreshment, the parallel path leads through the Kirchtal, along the premium trail Klosterfelsenweg. Passing the erratic block, the route continues along the high path above the nature reserve Untere Au, offering views down to the old Danube arm and the princely park in Inzigkofen. From the viewpoint Borrenfelsen, with beautiful views back into the narrowing Danube valley, the trail descends to the hiking parking lot, and via Laiz, the starting point is reached again, allowing for a reflection on the experiences.
