Storming the Town Hall with Pea Soup

The people of Michelstadt know how to have fun. This is evident in the spectacle surrounding the storming of the town hall on Carnival Saturday. From all the alleys of the historic old town, the revelers come pouring in to take the town hall key and the city treasury from the mayor. Of course, he is not willing to give up either willingly. And so, a cheerful battle erupts around the Michelstadt town hall. To ensure that no one goes hungry during the Carnival festivities, there is hearty pea soup with sausages from the field kitchen, accompanied by freshly tapped Michelstadt beer.
