BasBariTenori & Vienna Chamber Choir

Experience the Vienna Chamber Choir with the Burgenland-Croatian vocal ensemble BasBariTenori in a unique constellation.

With a selection of secular (choral) compositions and arrangements from Vienna and Austria, both past and present, they showcase the diversity of works by Johannes Brahms, Franz Schreker, Heinz Kratochwil, Herwig Reiter, as well as arrangements of songs by Austropop greats Wolfgang Ambros, Rainhard Fendrich, Willi Resetarits, Ernst Molden, Hubert von Goisern, and Christian Kolonovits.

The range of musical styles spans from classical to contemporary, with lyrics that vary from deeply serious to wonderfully sweet.

BasBariTenori – 57 Angels

The vocal and instrumental group BasBariTenori adds a musical and linguistic facet to the program. The music of these four Burgenland Croats living in Vienna and Bratislava reflects the diversity of their existence: sometimes they sing in Krowodisch, sometimes in Weanarisch. In addition to traditional Croatian songs from Burgenland and reinterpretations from their own unique "Krowodnrock," the quartet presents set poetry, sometimes powerful, sometimes delicate and intricate.

Together with the Vienna Chamber Choir, the voices and instruments of BasBariTenori culminate into a new, impressive sound body.

The four exceptional singers also musically pay tribute to their former fifth singer and co-founder of the group, whom they lost along their journey: Willi Resetarits.
