The four young musicians from Bavaria bring their own interpretation of new folk music to life. Traditions are softened to allow for new forms and extraordinary ideas to emerge. Through the special instrumentation of tuba, guitar, violin, and Styrian harmonica, new tonal colors are explored, and compositions are crafted that connect folk music elements with jazz harmonies, invigorate classical music with pulsating rhythms, and mix the familiar with the foreign. “NAU” – the current album and program of the ensemble – is music that has been missing not only in Bavaria but far beyond: charming, light-footed, and filled with extraordinary ideas that break clichés and interpret folk music in entirely new ways.

In the improvisations, jazz shines through, in the flawless interplay, the classical training, and in the diverse echoes, the broad horizon of four global citizens who are simultaneously deeply rooted in their homeland.
