THE HOODOO MEN / LOVESICK DUO

The Hoodoo Men play electric Chicago Blues as it was presented in small ensembles on Maxwell Street in Chicago during the 1950s. This formation offers the opportunity to reduce blues to its core without the sometimes overloaded arrangements of today.

Lovesick – consisting of Paolo Roberto Pianezza and Francesca Alinovi from Italy.

They bring an exhilarating vintage sound to the stage! The duo is known for their love of American country, rock’n’roll, and western swing from the 1940s and 50s – authentic, charming, and with a healthy dose of groove.

Paolo effortlessly switches between electric and acoustic guitar, lap steel, resonator, and dobro, while Francesca keeps the rhythm going with the double bass and her built-in brush pad. Together, they create more sound than one would expect from two people – with wonderfully harmonious vocals and a touch of nostalgia.
