It has been a few years since Egers worked in a kitchen. The head chef told him to hurry up three hundred times in a short period. Egers tried, but he couldn't go any faster. Egers is slow. He cuts onions slowly, thinks slowly, and usually doesn't speak particularly quickly. In this slowness, he also wrote the new program. It took a very long time. Letter by letter, word by word, sentence by sentence. With a sluggish force, the cabaret artist pushes against the speed of the world. The entire evening celebrates slowness, and therefore the stories are not presented at an increased pace. But as an audience member, you don't need to worry about getting tired due to the slow pace. Because it could very well be that Egers gets angry at some point. He often gets worked up over everything and nothing. And then you'll wake up again.

Matthias Egersdörfer was born in 1969 in Nuremberg. He is a cabaret artist, author, actor, and singer of the band FAST ZU FÜRTH. He has received numerous awards, including the Passauer Scharfrichterbeil, the German Small Arts Prize, and the Austrian Cabaret Prize. Together with Jürgen Roth, Egersdörfer published the epistolary novel THE JOURNEY THROUGH FRANKEN, and in 2019, his novel SUBURBAN PRINCE - A NOVEL OF MY CHILDHOOD was published by Rowohlt Verlag. In addition to many CD releases, including FOLDING AND GLUING (2008), I MEAN WELL! (2011), and NEWS FROM THE BACK HOUSE (2023), Matthias Egersdörfer can also be seen on television from time to time.
