The Wiese—our river, which in summer is sometimes more of a stream—is still a lifeline, but with a different meaning than it had 260 years ago.
On the tour "The water of the Wiese, what for?" you will learn how and who used the water and how this provided work for many people until the middle of the 21st century. What remains? Some companies have their origins in this period, and without industrialization we would not have the S 6, the train that reliably takes us from Basel to Zell.
