Exhibition: Rural life around 1900

At Hof Beck, the life of a farming family around 1900 is brought to life in an inclusive permanent exhibition. Topics such as food, stable and field work, sleeping, hygiene, and clothing show everyday life over 100 years ago. The exhibition has been designed to be accessible for people with various disabilities. It features a barrier-free tour of the entire ground floor and numerous stations for listening, touching, and trying things out. Media guides with all exhibition texts in German sign language are available for loan at the museum ticket office. A brochure in easy language is available at the museum ticket office and in the hallway of Hof Beck. The exhibition [“Everyday Worlds – Yesterday and Today”](https://www.bauernhaus-museum.de/museum/haeuser-und-rundgang/ausstellungen/dauerausstellungen/alltagswelten/) in the basement of Hof Beck is also accessible and can be experienced inclusively. An elevator provides access to three museum education rooms and a barrier-free restroom in the basement of the Hof Beck annex.
