Press reviews:
"A multifaceted weave of melodies, sounds, texts, and thoughts. The band sharpens the view of the real existing (rural) life of today with their songs." (Ö1 Cultural Calendar)
"One of the greatest Austrian formations!" (Kleine Zeitung, Graz)
"The handmade music, the clever lyrics full of wit, poetry, and sensitivity, the love for the dialect and for the people, not least the clarity when it comes to political values, is what makes the Querschläger stand out." (Heinz Bayer, Salzburger Nachrichten)
"No doubt, the Querschläger are one of the most interesting and creative bands from the neighboring country." (Bad Reichenhaller Tagblatt, Bavaria)
"Anyone who has not yet seen or heard the Querschläger has missed something." (Alpenpost, OÖ)
"Querschläger songs are powerful works of art that, despite their pop character, never sacrifice their deep meaning at the altar of mass appeal. In a balance of restraint and exuberance, in the freedom to draw from any style as long as it serves the message of the song, this band works with stunning precision. They refrain from well-meaning rural beautification as well as from dull bluntness, even though ignorance and arrogance hurt." (Bernhard Flieher, Salzburger Nachrichten, Culture)
"The real phenomenon of the Querschläger is not a regionalism, but motivation to sharpen one's own opinion." (Music magazine Concerto)
"Poetic necessity meets striking state analysis." (Salzburger Nachrichten)
"The Querschläger are a live band like I haven't heard in this country for a long time; witty, spontaneous, sensitive, rustic, truly musical, and always in tune with the audience." (ORF)
"The Querschläger know no boxes. Only messy rooms from which exciting play landscapes can be created." (Peter Gnaiger, Salzburg Life)
