Us & Now. We begin with two. A family, a band. A nation and the whole planet. For the musicians of Federspiel, US is more than just a simple count. We encompasses the knowledge and ideas of all generations before us. This brings us to the Now. For the seven musicians, this means: the right entry, the right timing, and the magic of the moment of each performance. We are only in the Now.
These ideas have inspired Federspiel for their new program: Us & Now sets to music the big questions of our time.
Without any inhibitions, the seven-member brass group, along with Christoph Moschberger, connects local folk music traditions and world music elements with their spirit of experimentation: Inclusion instead of demonstration, light-footed virtuosity instead of showy acrobatics. A rejection of a loud, attention-seeking demeanor, in favor of thought-provoking and touching compositions. This is what characterizes Federspiel. And that is exactly what Us & Now is!

Petra, Leopold, and their son Johannes particularly focus on the flagship variety Grüner Veltliner, the indigenous Roter Veltliner, as well as Riesling and Grüner Sylvaner. This results in characterful and long-lasting wines.
