The actress Maria Hofstätter – known from numerous Austrian and German theater and film productions as well as cabaret programs – will read from the farmer novel by Karl Wiesinger, alias Max Maetz, and take you along with the Linz Violin Trio and the music of Anton Bruckner into Upper Austria of the 1970s. At that time, there was no cable television yet. People in the countryside sat in front of their houses and talked to passing neighbors, sharing gossip. Who bought which tractor, who drove the tractor where, who got caught under the tractor. The most spectacular live acts were the fire shows and accident shows. Together, they would drive to the neighboring village when a farmhouse burned down after being struck by lightning and would only return home once the fire department had extinguished the last glowing beams...

Since the novel is set in the so-called "Brucknerland" around St. Florian, the musical accompaniment will be performed in the historical formation of the so-called "Linz Violinists" (2 violins & double bass).
