UNESCO World Heritage Tour: To the Seven Springs

The Kalkalpen National Park is the most significant forest national park in the Alps. With its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is part of a Europe-wide project to protect the last remaining beech primeval forests. These ancient forests, with their diversity, are a natural treasure. Here, primeval forest species such as the Alpine longhorn beetle and the white-backed woodpecker find a home.

We will hike from the Zickerreith parking lot at Hengstpass to the Dörflmoaralm/Ahornsattel and then follow the forest trail a short distance downhill into the source area of the Siebenbrünn.

Time & Duration: 09:00 to 14:00, approximately 5 hours (pure walking time approximately 2.5 hours / 350 m elevation gain)

Equipment: Weatherproof clothing, hiking boots, snacks and drinks, hiking poles
Suitable for: Suitable for children aged 10 and above.
Requirements: The guided tours on fixed dates are reserved for private individuals. Groups of 10 or more, companies, schools, or other organizations are requested to contact the respective visitor center.
