Waldviertler Christmas Market 2026

On two weekends in Advent, Rosenburg opens its gates to one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Lower Austria. The market once again offers readings by the fireplace, festive concerts, craftsmanship and tradition, as well as exquisite culinary delights.

Craftsmanship and Exquisite Culinary Delights
Artists and craftsmen from the Waldviertel region present their works and special skills in the atmospheric rooms of Rosenburg Castle. Visitors have the unique opportunity to watch artisans at work, for example, during live turning demonstrations. Culinary huts offer festive treats, along with our castle tavern and restaurant Schlossgasthof to ensure guests are well-fed.

Varied Supporting Program
The Hoch- and Deutschmeister provide a festive atmosphere. Selected readings and concerts take place in the beautifully decorated meeting room by the fireplace. For our younger guests, there will be pony rides and children's crafting activities. The already traditional special presentation by our falconry will once again showcase the "Birds of Prey of the North"! This year, personalities will once again volunteer daily to serve punch for a good cause. The proceeds will go to the aid organization "Hilfe im eigenen Land" (Help in One's Own Country).
