On Sunday afternoon, the town comes alive once again. The carnival village is open, and visitors can recharge for the grand parade through Waldkirch. On this day, the children are the stars! And so it becomes a sea of blue and yellow! Hundreds of little and big jesters gather with other groups and guilds from the Elztal to line up on Turmstraße. Then, accompanied by music and the chant "Narri and Narro," they parade through the streets until they march onto the marketplace, where the baptism of the "Newcomers" takes place. The school and kindergarten groups are also wonderful, having come up with a theme that they present together during the parade.
