Welcome to the community housing - where real life thrives, where grumpiness and glamour live side by side, and where every second neighbor could provide material for their own sitcom. In their first solo cabaret program, Eichberger and Niemand take on a variety of roles, bringing a whole microcosm to the stage that is as wonderfully quirky, contradictory, and human as life itself.

Behind the duo Eichberger and Niemand is exactly one person: Barbara Eichberger - who is so versatile that it’s hard to believe. With a lot of humor, a willingness to exaggerate, and a keen eye for human quirks, she brings to life characters that are instantly recognizable: wannabe influencer Vanessa-Michelle, the grumpy janitor, welfare recipient Riccardo Gonzalez, the economics student Laurenz from a good family, or the low-life gangster Bogo - each character is exaggerated yet strangely familiar.

The winner of the Burgenland Audience Award 2025 and the Cabaret Talent Show 2025 serves up a fireworks display of punchlines with precise observational skills and sparkling wit, skillfully bringing urban everyday culture, social friction, and human peculiarities to the stage.

"Community Housing" is not a classic number cabaret but a satirical tour through the social biotope of Austria. It’s not about grand political statements or moral finger-pointing, but about one thing: top-notch cabaret for entertainment. The audience is invited to laugh and marvel - and for one evening becomes part of this funny and wild apartment world. Not only is there acting - the audience actively decides what happens on stage. Improvisation and interaction are not an option but a concept.

About Eichberger and Niemand
Behind the duo is Barbara Eichberger, a cabaret artist since the age of 4 and a comedian with heart and soul. After many years in classical small arts theater, as part of various improvisational theater groups, and several programs as the cabaret second team "Eichberger & Hnidek," she embarked on her journey as a solo cabaret artist in 2025.

And she did so successfully: just a few weeks into her solo career, she won the Cabaret Talent Show 2025 and thrilled both the audience and the jury. In addition to her artistic work, she is a mother of a toddler, the educational director of the Academy for Theater Crafts of the Austrian Federal Theaters, and a positive person who is enjoyable to work with. "Community Housing" is her first solo program.
