Krishna Das returns to Vienna

Many of you know and appreciate him, the "chant master of American yoga," as the New York Times once called him. For many years, he has been giving concerts, workshops, and kirtans around the world. Krishna Das – born in New York – dedicated his earlier musical years more to jazz, blues, and rock 'n' roll. In the 1970s, he went to India to meet his guru, Neem Karoli Baba. This event had a profound impact on him, and upon returning to America, he began offering kirtans. He developed his own style by blending traditional kirtan with Western harmony and rhythm sensibilities.

The man with the harmonium and the earthy voice, along with his charismatic presence, fills concert halls around the world every year. KD (pronounced KeDi) – as he is called in his circles and by his friends – was last in Vienna two years ago and will be here again on June 22, 2026.
