TOURDATA

Palmstraße 4, 5280 Braunau am Inn

On this evening, the authors Silke Gruber (Tyrol) and Doris Leeb (Upper Austria) will take the stage, proving that Austrian dialect literature can indeed be modern and feminine! The musical accompaniment will be provided by Marlies Fürst, also known as "Maola," who interprets the accordion in a completely new and refreshing way. Doris Leeb is an author from the Innviertel region, and she will present texts from her books "Iaz owa!" (2021) and "Menscha" (2025), among others. Her works combine linguistic sophistication with highly relevant themes such as feminism and changing gender roles. The author is known for her humorous yet sensitive approach to questioning societal developments and articulating them in a literary manner.

Silke Gruber, born in 1981 in Hall in Tyrol, completed her teaching degree in German and Psychology/Philosophy. She was previously a full-time mother and is currently working as a cleaner while also focusing on her first poetry collection. Additionally, she continues to perform as a slam poet and shares her experiences on Instagram under the name "wand_lungen."

The Salzburg accordionist, singer, and songwriter Marlies Fürst encapsulates her innermost experiences in songs under the name MAOLA, blending melodic pop with folk depth. Driven by her voice and the accordion, which she reinterprets far from all tradition, she creates songs that are honest, unfiltered, and full of emotion—sometimes soft and delicate, other times powerful and vibrant. MAOLA invites listeners to immerse themselves in a dialogue between words and sounds, where stories and music merge into a single entity.
