It’s too late for pessimism; we are part of the solution. Helga Kromp-Kolb is an outstanding Austrian climate researcher who has been addressing the challenges and solutions of climate change for decades. As an emeritus professor of meteorology and climatology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, she has made significant contributions to the research on climate change and its impacts on the environment and society. Her commitment to sustainable development and her expertise in climate research make her an important voice in the current debate on climate protection and social justice. In her lecture, she will present suggestions based on her current book "It’s too late for pessimism" regarding what needs to be done now, what the role of politics is, and what each individual can do. Following the lecture, there will be a discussion with audience participation.
