Founded twenty years ago, the legendary Eldis La Rosa Group is now returning to the stage – with fresh energy and the unmistakable sound of Cuba in tow. The Cuban multi-instrumentalist Eldis La Rosa is reigniting Cuban Jazz in Austria. Since the release of his album "Trotando" (2006), inspired by Paquito D'Rivera's boundless Latin Jazz, La Rosa has evolved his style: powerful Cuban traditions meet contemporary grooves, jazzy freedom, and improvisational wit. As the only Cuban Jazz formation in Austria, the Eldis La Rosa Group is back with matured compositions and a pulsating band sound – a comeback that celebrates the warmth, intensity, and vibrant colors of Cuban Jazz.
