Kobo Town continues to redefine Calypso music and expands the boundaries of Caribbean sound with their fourth album "CARNIVAL OF THE GHOSTS." Behind the constant social critique and satirical mood lies a collection of songs about human existence – about our quirks and weaknesses, our fears and hopes, and the poignant feeling of transience that fills every moment with its urgency and invaluable worth. Named after the historic district in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, where Calypso was born, KOBO TOWN is known as "a heady mix of buoyant Calypso wit, dancehall reggae, and brass-heavy brass bands" (The Guardian). Since their founding in 2005, the group has made their distinctive Calypso and ska-inspired sound accessible to audiences around the world.
