Exciting Insights at the Local History Museum in Hausen

The local history museum in the old school building in Burladingen-Hausen offers visitors a glimpse into rural life and living, as well as the rural culture and technology of the Swabian Jura, particularly of the Killertal around the turn of the century. Here, everything that was necessary for farming and craftsmanship over 100 years ago has been gathered. Tools from shoemakers, carpenters, wheelwrights, coopers, joiners, beekeepers, and bakers are on display. There is even a Roman room set up, showcasing artifacts from excavations in the Hausen district. Additionally, there are a farmer's kitchen with a farmer's parlor, living and sleeping rooms, a children's room, and a servant's room. These rooms contain numerous pieces of furniture that are over 100 years old. The bedroom set up in the local history museum is also about 100 years old. A rich collection of photographs from the last 80 years rounds off the tour of the museum.
