## Fascinating Insights at the Hausen Local History Museum The local history museum, located in the old schoolhouse in Burladingen-Hausen, offers visitors a glimpse into rural life and living, as well as the culture and technology of the Swabian Alb—particularly the Killertal valley—at the turn of the century. Here, everything needed for farming and craftsmanship over 100 years ago has been gathered. Hand tools used by shoemakers, carpenters, wheelwrights, coopers, carpenters, beekeepers, and bakers are on display. There is even a Roman room furnished with artifacts from excavations in the Hausen area. Also on display are a farmhouse kitchen with a farmhouse parlor, a living room and bedroom, a children’s room, and a servants’ room. These rooms contain numerous furnishings that are well over 100 years old. The bedroom furnished in the local history museum is also about 100 years old. An extensive collection of photographs from the past 80 years rounds out the tour of the museum.
