Pictures, tin, and objects by Heide Bruder

Painting by Heide Bruder The artist Heide Bruder, who lives in Unterjesingen, is guided in her art by the experiences of everyday life. She processes these in her abstract, expressive paintings, as well as in objects and collages made of sheet metal, wire, felt, fabric, and concrete. Since 2016, she has been exploring her family history under the title "What Remains." In her art, she integrates old photographs of family life from the 1930s, as well as images of family members during the war. The "images of memory" that arise from this evoke stories and provide space for personal associations. From January 18 to April 19, Heide Bruder will exhibit paintings, metal works, and objects in the foyer of the Theater Lindenhof. The opening reception will take place on Sunday, January 18, at 11 a.m. and will be musically accompanied by sound artist Thomas Maos.
