Jakob Gühring - The Man and Music

Jakob Gühring is one of the most interesting young talents in Germany. With his program "L'Homme et la Musique," he presents an acting chanson evening with excursions to France, Italy, and Switzerland. The actor received the O.E. Hasse Prize for outstanding talent from the Academy of Arts in 2022 and was awarded in 2023 at the Federal Competition for Singing in the chanson category. In his program "L'Homme et la Musique," Jakob Gühring presents an acting chanson evening with trips to France, Italy, and Switzerland. With texts by Simone de Beauvoir and Julio Cortázar about life in the French capital, Gühring theatrically explores the stories of the chansons, the life paths of their interpreters, and the context of their creation. In doing so, Jakob Gühring not only sings and acts but also accompanies himself on the piano, guitar, and accordion.
