Rossini in Wildbad - The Marriage by Post - Marriage on the Go

Modern Premiere(s)! Modern Premiere(s)! Weckerlin, an Alsatian composer, celebrated great successes in Paris during the 1850s with his small operas, some of which were premiered at the soirées of his friend Rossini. A young woman is to be married off to a stranger and refuses. While traveling, she meets the groom, who pretends to have a different identity as a test for her. The bride sees through the game but does not let on. The bride's father believes the stranger to be a criminal and wants to have him arrested, but in the end, everyone must reveal themselves: the two young people have truly fallen in love, and the bride's father is able to delay the authorities. Happy ending. Additionally, we will perform a scene set in Rossini's salon, featuring modern premieres of Rossini pieces, couplets, and songs.
