Agnes Palmisano Trio
Agnes Palmisano – hailed by the press as the "icon of Viennese song" and the "queen of the Viennese dudler" – brings her three-octave voice to the interpretation of Viennese musical heritage: old traditional as well as self-composed Viennese songs, dudlers, couplets, cabaret songs, and classical song compositions. With a dreamlike stylistic certainty, she navigates the most diverse genres, her voice playing all colors and facets, reaching dizzying heights and dark depths, touching with both beauty and expressiveness.
From a young singing student who set out to revive the "Wiener Dudler" – the Viennese coloratura yodel of the 19th century, which has been recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO since 2011 – she has become a woman who knows songs for every occasion and interprets them masterfully. She gladly shares her experiences and knowledge, with her audience, for example, as well as with students at the Vienna Private University MUK and in the field of Viennese song art.
When Agnes Palmisano teams up with Daniel Fuchsberger on the guitar and Andreas Teufel on the Schrammel harmonica to "hit a pack" – preferably with Aliosha Biz on the violin – the Agnes Palmisano Trio creates either chamber music in the smallest ensemble at the highest level or possibly the "coolest" band in the world – depending on your perspective: light is both a wave and a particle.
