Martin Spengler & die foischn Wiener have become an established voice in the chorus of the new Viennese song with their Schrammelsoul. And now “It could also be completely different.” So is it really “completely different” this time? In Ottakring, it still smells of chocolate, death still takes everything lightly, and love everything heavily?
Yet a new wind is blowing “out on the streets,” that “brings the lies” and trenches are opening up in the Viennese song's heartfelt connection to this city.
But “It could also be completely different” is also a utopia, the glow of another, better world.

And so Martin Spengler reinvents himself and his songs and lyrics, charging them with a renewed urgency, partly with unknown seriousness, partly with melancholic wit and loving longing, yes, with a bright utopia.
