SCOTT ROBINSON & MÁTYÁS BARTHA TRIO (USA/H/A)

One of the most versatile instrumentalists of our time, the American Scott Robinson, has played, among other instruments, tenor saxophone with Chet Baker, trumpet with Lionel Hampton's quintet, alto clarinet with Paquito D'Rivera's clarinet quartet, and bass saxophone at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. However, Scott is primarily known as a tenor saxophonist. He has been involved in countless film, radio, and television productions, and his discography now includes around 300 recordings. For over 30 years, he has been playing with the Grammy-winning Maria Schneider Orchestra.

The Mátyás Bartha Trio has been a consistently active ensemble for five years. It has already released two albums and is currently the most sought-after piano trio in Austria. Since Mátyás has played with Scott Robinson annually for the past six years, his band is the perfect musical complement for the multi-instrumentalist. The new album, recorded in 2025 with the American saxophonist, will be presented on this evening.
