In 2026, Karlsruhe will once again become a stage for international media art. The SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival combines spectacular projections on the palace with installations in the city center. From August 13 to September 13, 2026, the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival will transform Karlsruhe into a large-scale stage for light, media art, and digital creativity. Over several weeks, decentralized artworks, illuminations, and glowing actions will emerge in the city center of Karlsruhe, making public spaces a new experience.

The highlight of the festival is the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Karlsruhe: For the 12th time this year, international artists will turn the approximately 170-meter-long palace facade into a digital total work of art using elaborate projections and modern media technology, captivating visitors from around the world.
