20th World-Town-Festival: Max Mutzke & Marialy Pacheco: "Our Night"

When two exceptional artists meet, a passionate magic unfolds that captivates: Max Mutzke, the charismatic soul singer and songwriter from the Southern Black Forest, encounters the magnificent jazz pianist Marialy Pacheco at the Stadthalle Waldshut. Together, they let Mutzke's multifaceted songs shine in a new light through the intimate interplay of powerful vocals and elegant piano playing. Born in Havana and now based in Germany, Pacheco is considered one of the most outstanding young jazz pianists in the world. Their duo project "Unsere Nacht" began with a spontaneous encounter at a festival. As Max Mutzke aptly describes it: "All the songs are mine, but they have found their own expression through the ear, the heart, and the hands of Marialy." This led to new sensitive versions of his songs that enchant. Their joy in making music together and their openness to spontaneous moments make each of their concerts a unique experience.
