On January 1st, the new year is traditionally welcomed with powerful salutes. The traditional New Year's shooting of the Historical German Order Company and the Historical Shooting Corps begins at 12:00 PM at Ketter and Galgenberg. Twelve cannon shots and twelve firecracker shots greet the new year. For the New Year's reception, the uniformed groups will assemble at the marketplace at 4:00 PM. Following the New Year's speech by the mayor, the New Year's shooting will take place at the marketplace.
