Aviation Festival Windeck Falcons Run

On Thursday, May 14th (Ascension Day), the Windeck Falcons invite you to their flying festival. Spend some pleasant hours with us in the beautiful Laufbachtal. If the weather is suitable, you are welcome to take a look from above as a tandem guest with a paraglider (details below). If the wind and weather conditions are right, the hammer for tapping the keg will finally be flown in with the tandem again. The mayor of Lauf has even participated in a test flight in advance for this occasion. Naturally, all guest pilots from neighboring or even more distant clubs are warmly welcome (details about flight operations, below). Culinary offerings will include the already traditional "Drachenfutter," a meatless rice dish from the pan, along with other delicious foods and cold drinks. Note on parking: Unfortunately, parking options around the festival site "by the old swimming pool" are limited, so please come on foot or by bicycle if possible. We kindly ask you to keep emergency routes, sidewalks, and private driveways clear and thank you for your understanding.

Note on tandem flights: Tandem flights are only possible under suitable wind and weather conditions (this may only be decided on the festival day). Interested parties should register at the BON CASH DESK. Please bring ankle-high shoes, a windproof jacket, possibly thin gloves, and pants suitable for grass stains. With our tandem equipment, we can take passengers weighing up to about 100 kg. The flights last about 10 minutes, possibly longer under good conditions.

Note for guest pilots: On the festival day, flying with us is allowed and possible under suitable conditions. A bus shuttle will start from the festival site (or from the parking lot diagonally opposite). Please pay attention to the information sheet that will be distributed to all pilots on the bus. Please pre-program your radio to our current frequency of 434.6 MHz (LPD Channel 62).
