1-day course "Rope safety in fruit trees"

Ladders are an important tool for working on fruit trees, but they also pose a high risk of accidents. Rope safety technology is therefore an important element, both during pruning work and during harvest time. Rope safety technology is therefore an important element, both for pruning work and during harvest time, as it allows freedom of movement in the tree and also eliminates the need for frequent and tedious repositioning of ladders. In this one-day course at the Munich Tree Climbing School, you will learn in small groups, both in theory and in practice, how to combine ladders and rope safety (this is not an SKT course, but only rope safety). The seminar first covers the theoretical part, consisting of the legal basics, material and knot knowledge, as well as the organization of the work assignment (hazard identification, tree assessment, etc.). This is followed by practical training in the use of short belays, ladder access, anchor point selection, secure footing in the tree, effective working with a one-handed saw, and assuming the working position. The instructor, Markus Bauknecht, is a long-time employee of the Munich Tree Climbing School and owner of the tree care company **"Zweigstelle"** in Amtszell.
