The Content
You will spend this time almost completely in silence. Apart from the daily individual conversations, where emerging questions and topics that arise during silence and meditation can be addressed and deepened, you will be engaged in self-introspection. We recommend refraining from any distractions such as reading, writing, digital devices, etc. At the beginning and at the end of the seminar, there will be an open space for questions, announcements, and sharing experiences.

Essential Components
- Sitting meditations of the Vipassana tradition
- Body scan
- Walking meditation
- Breathwork - breath awareness - breathing exercises
- Active meditations
- Guided heart meditations - METTA - TONGLEN and meditations for the vagus nerve

The individual practice phases (sitting, lying down, and mindful yoga exercises) rarely last longer than 30 minutes, which you will experience embedded in a cycle of 90 minutes. The morning active meditations last for 60 minutes, alternating between movement, breathing, and silence. In addition to the detailed instructions for the respective meditations, short lectures addressing the everyday challenges of our lives will further structure this seminar.

Sustainability
Our silent retreats lead into the practice of meditation and mindfulness. Many insights from current consciousness research are integrated into the course content, thus transcending traditions and denominations. Our approaches serve to stabilize insights and integrate them into a vibrant daily life. For experienced meditators, they can deepen their own practice. They also provide valuable insights for all those who work professionally with meditation and mindfulness.

Who is this silent retreat for?
- For graduates of the MBSR course and the training year, the summer retreat is an opportunity to deepen their own meditation practice.
- For people for whom mindfulness meditation is new, it is a chance not only to get a brief introduction but also to gain knowledge about the development of their personal meditation practice.
- For individuals who appreciate meditating in a group and the supportive group process.
- For participants in our year-long training, a silent retreat is necessary for certification.
