The military alliance NATO, led by the USA, was founded in 1949. Today, NATO has 32 member states, after the previously neutral countries Finland and Sweden joined in recent years. Time and again, NATO praises itself and claims that it makes an important contribution to peace and security in Europe. Swiss historian and peace researcher Daniele Ganser has examined NATO more closely and has come to a very different conclusion. In his lecture, he explains why NATO promotes war rather than peace.

He shows how NATO violated its own North Atlantic Treaty and the UN Charter with the attack on Serbia in 1999, and how NATO's eastward expansion led to war in Ukraine and confrontation with Russia. Daniele Ganser is convinced that Switzerland must not join NATO under any circumstances and should maintain its perpetual neutrality.
