Words - Jungle Vienna

What happens to a word when I pull it apart, compress it, twist it, and then put it back together in a whole new way? How does it sound then? How does the word D-O-G feel in the mouth? How does the T-R-E-E resonate in the room? How does an R roll on the tongue? And what do you respond when I say “jolifantobamblaofallibambla”? WORDS is an experimental, physical performance. Inspired by Dadaist poetry, we explore and experiment freely, letting words dance until they become sound, rhythm, or new stories. Suddenly, the “right” understanding and saying don’t matter at all. New worlds emerge, as do new forms of communication. Do we always need words? Or is a movement or a sound enough? The performance celebrates the joy of nonsense and the adventure of language. Through collective experimentation, storytelling, and sound, a new sense of belonging and understanding is created within the piece. Info: 3-6 years, 45 min, German and invented words.
