ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
The exhibition explores the various functions of images in several chapters. Photographic images, paintings, objects, and sculptures serve as the material through which imaginative worlds ignite. It addresses representation and abstraction, alienation, symbolism, word art, and iconoclasm. Central to the exhibition is the circularity of image, meaning, and deconstruction, as well as the relationship between image and word. Sensory experience and intellectual reflection are the focus. The artists have connections to cultural fields in Lower Austria.
