Friday at 5 | Bangs-Matschels - on the banks of the Rhine

A varied tour through Bangs provides insights into village life in the westernmost part of Feldkirch. Starting from the village center with its over three-hundred-year-old church, the route continues through the idyllic wetland landscape. The tour addresses not only the history of the village but also the Rhine floods and the resulting depopulation, as well as the reconstruction at the border with Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Additionally, the current significance of Bangs as a local recreation and nature conservation area, highlighted by the peak of the iris bloom, will be explored.
