The Friends of the Museum Haus Dix invite interested jazz lovers to the museum's garden: You can experience a delightful retro jazz concert with Ladwig's DIXIELAND band, which will take you into the ambiance of a jazz club from the American Prohibition era, oscillating between the music of Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong and Uwe Ladwig's anecdotes about him. Armstrong grows up in the streets of the red-light and underworld milieu of New Orleans and ends up in a reform school before he revolutionizes the newly emerging jazz music and brings it to life. His talents as a musician, singer, showman, and composer spread jazz around the world. Performing for you are: Philipp Rellstab (cornet, vocals), Daniel Sernatinger (saxophone, clarinet, vocals), Daniel Beurer (guitar, banjo), Martin Giebel (piano), and Uwe Ladwig (bass saxophone, small percussion, conference). We look forward to seeing you! Admission is free. Donations in favor of the Friends of the Museum Haus Dix are appreciated.
