1st Radolfzell Film Festival

In this anniversary year, a film festival will be held featuring films on the theme of “Youth,” with awards presented to the best entries. At the same time, young people from Radolfzell will have the opportunity to participate in a film workshop. In 2026, Radolfzell will celebrate its 1,200th anniversary—and at the same time launch a new cultural highlight: the RADOLFZELL FILM FESTIVAL! In September, the KFZ – Art for the Future will become an urban cinema venue. The focus of the first edition of the festival is on young people and their stories — told in a wide variety of cinematic formats: feature-length and short films, live-action, animated, and documentary films, produced by both young people and professional filmmakers. The filmmakers will be on site to answer questions following the screenings. Talks, an awards ceremony, and a film party round out the program. Organized by director Teresa Renn and producer Patrick Merkle, in collaboration between the Radolfzell Cultural Office and KFZ – Kunst für Zukunft, the festival offers a forum for young perspectives – and a cinematic experience for all generations.
