Easter Garden at the Peter Church in Kattenhorn

From March 23 to April 19, 2026, an Easter Garden will be set up for viewing at the Peter Church.

History of the Peter Church and its stained glass windows: In the midst of the barren post-war period, Protestant Christians around Kattenhorn on the Höri Peninsula had a dream: It was primarily refugees and displaced persons who attempted a new beginning in the Protestant parish on the Höri. Otto Dix was commissioned to design the stained glass windows of the Peter Church. He had also retreated here and thus knew the situation of those who commissioned him. Just like a fisherman early in the morning on Lake Constance, people visit the Peter Church to capture a moment of silence. And to find something that gives them support and orientation in their everyday lives. The nets filled with their worries and fears are cast out in prayer. God takes the nets filled with perceived emptiness and fills them with new hope.
