... What and how should children learn in the future? Challenges in the education system in the age of artificial intelligence Rapid technological advancements currently pose significant challenges for stakeholders in the education sector, particularly regarding the handling of generative artificial intelligence. The use of artificial intelligence is either associated with the hope that teaching will become overall better and more effective, or with the warning that children will be hindered from "real" learning. The current discussion reflects the tension between technological progress, pedagogical responsibility, and societal values. The lecture will focus on a multi-perspective engagement with the topic in order to contribute to the necessary transformation processes in the German education system.
