The Room: Special on International Women's Day

The logo of a brand? A floral motif on a blouse? A geometric fabric pattern? We are louder and create our own images and statements, which we print over with the screen printing technique using paper stencils. It’s about creativity, appropriation, and liberating humor.
Cécile Belmont: visual artist. Lives in Linz. Studied textile design in Paris, painting in Buenos Aires, and textile art in Berlin. Works at the intersection of applied and visual arts with wild embroideries, textile screen printing, participatory projects, and interventions in community spaces.
Please bring light (old) textiles – e.g., T-shirts, clothing, fabric bags, etc. Preferably with patterns, logos, stains… No prior knowledge required. Registration is requested.
