After observing the partial solar eclipse (88%), the peak of the PERSEID meteor shower follows - up to 100 meteors per hour under a dark night sky!
The Milky Way; Lyra, Cygnus, Aquila, and Sagittarius shape the view of the sky. Nebulae, open star clusters, globular clusters, and gas nebulae are telescope objects - a paradise for observation, even with binoculars.
Venus sets early, while the ringed planet Saturn rises later in the evening!
