Rooted in jazz, the "LUTrio" bridges the gap between tradition and the present of this genre. Founded in 2015 by Lukas Kleemair (drums), Urs Hager (piano), and Tobias Steinrück (bass), the trio has since been a source of inspiration for original compositions and a "playground" for collaborative improvisation and ensemble playing in the spirit of equality.
In its debut album "Silent City," released in April 2022 on the Austrian label "ATS-Records," the trio weaves together the diverse musical facets of its members. In addition to original compositions, the trio also reinterprets well-known jazz standards, as well as pieces by The Beatles and Erik Satie.
