What is a Repair Café?
These are events that are organized on a non-commercial basis, where professionals from various fields volunteer their time. They provide advice and assistance to visitors, helping them repair their items themselves. Tools are made available for free use. Anything that is portable can be brought along, including electronic devices, clothing, toys, computers, mobile phones, furniture, bicycles, and much more. While the Repair Café cannot guarantee that repairs will be successful, the learning experience is certain: visitors' attitudes towards the value of things will change, and their willingness to give items a second chance will increase.

What is it about?
Repair Cafés are open meetings where participants repair broken household appliances, textiles, and much more together while learning from each other. Socializing and a stress-free atmosphere are just as important as the sharing of knowledge.

How does it work?
- Repair Cafés are volunteer events and are intended as a help-to-help-yourself initiative. Repairs are carried out under expert guidance.
- Repair Cafés are not a commercial repair service; nothing can be dropped off and picked up later, neither for free nor for a fee.
- Free of charge, without warranty.
- Please bring everything necessary to test the device (user manual, power cable, media, the person who last used the device, etc.).

Volunteers, both technically and organizationally, are always warmly welcomed.

Up to 200 Euro Repair Bonus
If a commercial repair is necessary, the repair bonus from the Ministry of Climate Protection can help. This supports commercial repairs of various electronic devices with 50 percent of the costs, up to a maximum of 200 euros per case.
Details + Application: www.reparaturbonus.at
