From the Edge to the Center – Treibhoiz and Manuela Seidl

Extraordinary texts by extraordinary people, framed by empathetic music

Although societal attitudes towards Down syndrome have improved over the years, many individuals still experience stigmatization today and wish to break free from being seen as marginal. "From the Edge to the Center" gives a voice to these extraordinary individuals and provides them with a stage. Their texts, poems, and short stories will be presented by the performer Manuela Seidl. Treibhoiz will accompany and shape this reading with music. Founded in 2020, Treibhoiz is a formation consisting of flute, oboe, clarinet, alto saxophone, and bass clarinet – with a sound that promises high recognition value.

Manuela Seidl is an artist deeply rooted in Weitra, drawing from many years of stage experience. Her vision: "As an actress, I try to overcome boundaries to connect people and countries."
