Round tour from Eberbach: Once around the Katzenbuckel ...

A promising round trip starting from Eberbach around the Katzenbuckel, the highest elevation in the Odenwald. Mountains and valleys, forests, fields, and meadows - wonderful! Our interesting and scenically very appealing tour begins in the picturesque Staufer town by the Neckar River. Soon after leaving the old town, we make our way towards Unterdielbach via Breitenstein. The ascent is manageable for experienced cyclists or e-bike riders with moderate inclines and almost continuous shade provided by the forest. Once we reach the plateau, we can take a breath and enjoy the first magnificent views before exploring the beautiful area through meadows, fields, and again through the forest. In nature, we will be close to the history and the highest elevation of the Odenwald. Often, we are even touched by a hint of Christmas. If conditions allow, we will also do a bit of Kneipp therapy! Knowing that we have good brakes on our bikes, we roll down relaxed, enjoy the view into the Höllgrund valley, and take a short break at the Holzner Mill. The path through the Höllgrund and along the Itter River finally leads us back to Eberbach. Come along!
