Wooden houses children's carnival

The Holzhausen Carnival has a long tradition. Since the 1980s, Carnival with a program has been taking place in Holzhausen. Today, it is referred to as a small carnival stronghold in the heart of North Hesse. Every year, on the weekend before Rose Monday, up to 120 performers present a colorful program of superlatives on Friday and Saturday evenings. Various groups, including five guard groups, come up with something new each year to delight the audience. There is particular pride in the youth, who contribute in various ways and bring a lot of joy. In 1997, the first prince couple was proclaimed, and every year it remains one of the best-kept secrets who the new prince couple will be.
